DESCRIPTION
Theodolite-techeometer TT-5 is a geodetic goniometric instrument, with the help of which tacheometric work is carried out, measurement of horizontal angles and tilt angles, determination of the magnetic azimuth of the direction and measurement of distances using a filament rangefinder. One of the most widespread theodolites in the USSR, which is an improved model of the TT-50 theodolite. Theodolite has a closed design, all its critical parts and assemblies are protected from direct ingress of dust and moisture.The theodolite uses a telescope with internal focusing and a conical vertical axis. In the first models, the limb was a brass circle with a welded nickel silver ring, on which graduations were applied; in later models, the limb and alidade were made of an aluminum alloy with a special electrochemical finish.
