Note: The UD-6950
will not charge
your laptop and will need your external charger to provide power to your system. It also
does not have any HDMI ports
to connect to an additional monitor. You can connect to HDMI, VGA, or DVI displays with the purchase of a DisplayPort adapter.

Compatible with most laptops and desktops running Windows 10/8.x/7. The box includes a USB 3.0 and USB-C cable to connect to the dock to your laptop. For best performance your system should have these specifications:, • CPU: 6th Generation Intel Core i3 or Intel Core i7, • AMD: A10 @ 2.0GHz or better, • RAM: 8GB or more, Most modern Windows systems meet these requirements.
Not compatible with
: Linux/Unix; or ARM-based Windows operating systems (such as Surface RT).
Monitor Compatibility
DisplayPort++ supports two high-resolution monitors up to 4K 60Hz (3840x2160 @ 60Hz) and a single 5K 60Hz monitor when connected to displays that support the desired resolution. While backwards compatible it is important to note:, • DisplayPort 1.2 monitors will support 4K 60Hz, • DisplayPort 1.1 monitors will support 4K 30Hz,
It is important to note that this dock does NOT have any HDMI ports. You can however connect to HDMI/DVI/VGA monitors with an adapter:, • Active adapters will support 4K 60Hz, • Passive Adapters will support 4K 30Hz, Conversion to Dual-Link DVI (DL-DVI) is not supported.
Software Compatibility
DisplayLink is a flexible and versatile technology that’s great for most users’ workflow. But there are a few scenarios where it’s not the right fit such as gaming and HDCP (copy-protected) content playback from Blu-ray/Netflix/Prime/iTunes/Hulu/etc.
Power and Charging
This dock does not provide power to the connected laptop or tablet—the laptop will still require a separate charger. The power button on the back of the dock is used to control the power to the docking station itself. It cannot control the power of the laptop.
