    Description

The Orange Crush company was formed in 1911, by Clayton Howel and Neil Ward. Mr. Howel was the inventor of the Orange Julep. Mr. Ward joined the company and invented the formula for Orange Crush, which originally had orange pulp in it, and was first known as Ward's Orange Crush. It hasn't had pulp for decades though. It was made to compete with Coca Cola's Fanta Orange.
For decades, Orange Crush, with its 3 flavors, was seen in its original Krinkly bottle.  However, in 1955, a new Mae West bottle was formed by designer Jim Nash.  The new design was a better fit for the hand.  Sales soon increased in test markets by 10-20 times.
In 1980, Crush was sold to Proctor & Gamble; in 1989 P & G sold it to Cadbury Schweppes, and in 2008 spun it off to form the Dr. Pepper Snapple Group.
This is a full, a very rare Crushy Krinkly design bottle.  Sometimes it is called a Beehive bottle.  It is bright and beautiful with its bright orange ACL label and original amber glass.  The graphics are very good, except for a stain on the face, as shown.  It has very little case wear, and it has no chips or cracks.  On the cap, it states, "Bottled by SevenUp Bottling Co. of Pittsburgh, Pa.".
On the bottom of this bottle is a series of numbers with the "L" and the date of 1965.
The bottle was made by Laurens Glass Company of Laurens, South Carolina, is 7 3/4" tall, and is dated 1965.
