This is a Japanese NANIWA whetstone flattener with a #220 grit.
Useable for gritsize #1000 to #5000
It is a flattening stone used to restore your whetstones.
The IO-1142 is the extra-fine model, so that you cannot damage your stones.
All you have to do is to wet your stone, and then to rubb this Naniwa stone on it.
It is not necessary to use this emery powder, it is only getting quicker with it.
The stone is 17cm long  5.5cm wide and 3cm thick. (6.7"x2.2"x1.2")
